I'm Izem Boy — a Turkish wellness facilitator and retreat creator, now based in Barcelona.

I lived in Türkiye until my early twenties, when I began travelling beyond the world I had always known. Since then, I have visited more than 35 countries and countless cities. Along the way, I noticed something I didn't expect: I had access to almost everything — new places, new experiences, a life many people dream of — and yet none of it filled me from the inside. Travelling reshaped how I understood freedom and identity, but it also taught me, very directly, that having everything on the outside and feeling whole on the inside are two completely different things.

Eventually, I chose Barcelona as my home. It was the place where I felt most free to express myself and build a life that felt genuinely aligned with who I was becoming. Freedom has always been one of my deepest values — not simply the freedom to move, but the freedom to live consciously and truthfully.

My relationship with spirituality didn't begin as a professional ambition. It began as a personal need. Relationships and turning points in my early twenties pushed me to look beneath the surface of my own patterns, beliefs and emotions.

In 2025, when I was 23, I lost my father. Grief brought me into an even deeper relationship with myself. It reminded me, in the clearest way possible, that time is not guaranteed and that the things that truly matter cannot keep being postponed.

The Journey Behind the Practice

What began as a personal practice gradually became something I wanted to share. Through yoga, meditation, breathwork and embodied awareness, I now create spaces that invite people to slow down, reconnect with their bodies and meet themselves with more presence. My work has grown from private sessions and intimate gatherings in Barcelona to personalized retreats in the Austrian Alps. I've also learned from respected teachers and practitioners in Türkiye, and rather than following one rigid method, I bring together what I've experienced personally and can share with honesty.

This is why I do this work, and who it's for: people who look like they have it all — success, achievement, a life others admire — but who don't always feel it on the inside. I know this place well, because I've stood in it myself. My work isn't about asking you to walk away from ambition, business or the material world. It's about bringing that world back into balance with the one inside you — so you can return to your success, your work, your life outside, and actually enjoy it, fully present, instead of quietly disconnected from it.

Today, my work sits at the meeting point of everything that has shaped me: my Turkish roots, the cultures I've encountered, the freedom I found in Barcelona, and the lessons of loss.

I don't believe transformation comes from becoming someone else. I believe it begins when we slow down enough to hear ourselves clearly — and find the courage to live from that place.
